Multi-platform, web-enabled Omnis solution provides easy financial and commercial management for SMEs

When you are running a small or medium sized business (SME), you need a good and reliable accounting and general management software system, to allow you to focus on the core activities of your business. You need to comply with various accounting rules and company regulations, but above all you need a system that takes care of all the administration tasks and removes some of the stress of running your own business. There are many accounting and general management software packages for large businesses, but finding an easy-to-use and affordable system for small and medium sized businesses is not so easy. Often this market is satisfied by small independent software houses, like Just Software, who understand the challenges of running a small business.

Just Software has been supplying accounting and general management software to small and medium sized companies for many years, first with a system called Cockpit and more recently a package called Dave. Cockpit was developed in Omnis 7 and caters for small companies, while Dave is developed in Omnis Studio, using FrontBase as the back-end SQL database, providing financial and general management for medium sized companies. Both packages are cross-platform running under Mac OS 9 and the latest version of OS X, as well as Windows and Linux, while Dave provides remote access to some of its functions.

Dave consists of different modules that are fully integrated: Dave Accounting is a complete accounting system with general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, VAT, and Intrastat; Dave Order Administration manages document workflow within your company, including orders, deliveries, invoices, inventory, and sales statistics; Dave Communication (CRM) stores all the communication between your company and your customers, including phone calls, e-mails, letters, faxes and is accessible from every other Dave module; Dave Service administers all service related issues including repairs, replacing of components, working hours, and warranties; and Dave Invoice generates invoices.
